Dr. Uyen Nguyen grew up in Portland, Oregon.  She was a dental assistant during high school. In 2003 she graduated from Oregon State University with Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and a minor in chemistry. While studying at OSU, she interned for 2 years at the Environmental Protection Agency as a research assistant in genetic transfer in plants.

Dr. Nguyen received her DMD from AT Still University in 2007 and has been working with children ever since graduation. Prior to Covid, she was an adjunct faculty at Brighter Way Dental Clinic in Phoenix, AZ.

Dr. Nguyen gives back through volunteering and does dental mission abroad every year through different organizations.

During her free time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys cooking Vietnamese foods and gardening with her husband, 11-year old son and 5-year old daughter.
